All-time hits leader Pete Rose joined Ty Cobb as the only two major leaguers to reach 4,000 hits during his brief stay with the Montreal Expos. Rose was presented with this silver plated commemorative tray soon after he reached the milestone on April 13, 1984 with a double off Philadelphia's Jerry Koosman at Olympic Stadium. The 10" diameter tray features the Expos' logo in etched in the center with "PETE ROSE" engraved above it, and "4000th HIT" and the date of the milestone hit beneath it. A 14k gold pendant included in this lot has a raised Expos logo on the front and "#14" engraved on the rear. This is a great opportunity to pick up a unique pair of items celebrating one of the rarest feats in baseball history.
