Talk about a game-worn jersey, this Craig MacTavish beauty from the 1988-89 season is an outstanding original Oilers road gamer worn by an authentic grinder. Both elbows are just hammered on this heavy mesh jersey, which has its original Nike size L neck tag with “88/89” written in black marker on the orange mesh behind it. The fight strap is intact and there is a three-inch long team repair in the back of the neck and team repairs on both sleeves and the left side of the front of the jersey. A blue mesh patch has been sewn on the left of the tail, likely where the original Nike logo was removed. The blue jersey has an Oilers 10th season patch sewn onto the shoulder and the white part of the Oilers crest is bluish from team laundering. Comes with a letter of authenticity from the Oilers and NHL/MeiGray Group registry. They sure don’t make them like they used to.
