When Wayne Gretzky was traded to Los Angeles, Martin Gelinas was part of the package the Kings sent in return to the Edmonton Oilers. While Gretzky’s Kings fell short of the Stanley Cup in the 1992-93 final against Montreal, Gelinas already had a Cup to his credit with the Oilers three years earlier. The hardworking left winger wore this Oilers gamer during the 1992-93 season as evidenced by the Stanley Cup centennial patch sewn onto the right breast. This jersey shows outstanding wear with extensive team repairs surrounding both elbows, interior pilling, blue paint transfer to the left of the nameplate and stick marks on the front of the jersey, to the right of the logo and on the Oilers crest itself. The fight strap is intact and the Maska and size 54 tags in the neck have been sewn over by nameplate stitching. A letter of authenticity from the Oilers is included along with documentation from the NHL/MeiGray Group program.
