After bombing with their absurd “Wild Wing” third jersey, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim came up with a much more successful look when they took another stab at alternate jerseys in 1997-98. This white alternate worn by defenceman J.J. Daigneault for some of the Mighty Ducks’ home games comes along with a letter of authenticity from the Mighty Ducks. A jade patch stitched onto the inner rear hem has “1997-98 Set 1” embroidered in white thread along with an embroidered team logo. Individual white twill surname letters are sewn directly onto the jade shoulder panel. The No. 36 is in purple, while and silver twill on the back, and white, jade and silver twill on the sleeves. The Nike size 52 and NHL Authentic Collection Center Ice tags are sewn into the neck with name stitching in white thread from the back showing through on the inside. Laundry and size 52 fly tags remain in the left inside seam and the fight strap is intact. The jersey exhibits nice game use with board burns and holes on both elbows, four team repairs on the left sleeve, and a few stick marks.
