Dandy pair of all-leather red, white and blue gloves by Ferland show plenty of use and some would likely be practice use, since they were used by longtime Canadiens assistant coach Jacques Laperriere. The Hall-of-Famer was an appreciated assistant from 1981-82 to '96-97, serving under the likes of Bob Berry, Jacques Lemaire, Jean Perron, Pat Burns and Jacques Demers, providing words of wisdom to the organization's defencemen. He later performed the same duties with the Bruins, Islanders and Devils. Both gloves have hole-free leather palms and include "LAP" in blue marker on the inner cuffs. The "35" in white above the "3000" on the back rolls suggest possible re-cycling, with the gloves possibly used by Mike Mcphee, which would explain the slash marks and significant use. Intriguing tools of the trade!
