The promising career of netminder Pelle Lindbergh is remembered in the form of an unassuming black 31 patch resting on the shoulder of Rich Sutters game worn Philadelphia Flyers jersey from the 1985-86 season. This heavy mesh uniform, made by Eagle, is in home colors and sports a lengthy nameplate across the back shoulders holding the full name of one of the six Sutter boys. Richs bother Ronnie was also with the Flyers that year and both players wore sweaters with their first and last names above their numbers. A small fly tag in the collar has a circled red 48 indicating the size and Eagle is embroidered onto the outer rear hem in white. Game wear included a good number of board burns and scuffs at the elbows and cuffs with evidence of stick work on the lower front. Three crude stitched team repairs can be found on the front and another 3-inch repair at the V-neck remedies the results of an on-ice scuffle, no doubt. A perfect example from thishighly-sought-after Pelle Lindbergh Memorial Patch set.
