A tremendous find and wonderful opportunity for WHA and game worn jersey enthusiasts is this first year Ottawa Nationals home white sweater worn by centerman Brian Conacher. Conachers stint in Ottawa marked his only appearance in the WHA but he did spend parts of five seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings. Gorgeous red, white and blue knit jersey has an old-style black, silver and gold Maska company tag in the collar and the original blue string running through the neck eyelets. The somewhat crinkled team crest and the numbers on the back and sleeves are in tackle twill and all sewn-on. Tackle twill name plate is all original. Decent game use with a smattering of black stick marks on the front and sleeves. This example has been preserved in fabulous condition, another fine piece of World Hockey Association history and will come with an LOA.
