Striking blue mesh Edmonton Oilers uniform worn by Mark Lamb during the 1988-89 season, the final year in which the Oil took to the ice wearing the famous Nike swoosh jerseys. This example, tagged by Nike in the collar in size L/G, still has the Nike logo screened onto the outer tail, although it has since been covered with a swatch of blue mesh material, as the team re-used this set for the 1989-90 pre-season and were forced to hide the graphic due to contractual obligations with their new supplier, CCM. The neck also holds the marked notation 88/89, placed there by the training staff. Lambs number 7 appears on each arm and again on the back and, as the number now sits high up in the rafters of Rexall Place in a tip-of-the-hat to HOFer Paul Coffey, we will never see this number worn again in Edmonton. Original name on back, sewn onto a matching mesh plate. Obvious game wear includes a very dark black stick slash on the belly and the sleeves have been cut slightly shorter to Lambs specs. Nice Nike!
