An original snapshot of hockeys premier goaltender of the 1940s pictures the ambidextrous Bill Durnan of the Canadiens and features a formidable fountain pen signature of the Hall-of-Famer.The legendary netminder personalized the 3 by 4 matte-finish photo To Little Gump The Blind man, Bill Durnan.After several years of senior hockey with Kirkland Lake and the Montreal Royals, Durnan joined the Habs in 1943-44 at age 27 and backstopped them to the Stanley Cup.Six Vezina trophies and six NHL First All-Star Team selections in seven years are testaments to big Bills greatness, as is his 208-112-62 career record.Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1963, he died in 1972.Photo is in EX+ condition and was originally obtained from Gump Worsley.
