The Montreal Canadiens racked up 102 regular season points in 1992-93, good for 4th place overall in the Wales Conference, but were definitely not the favorites to come out with top playoff honors. Following victories over Quebec and Buffalo in Adams Division match-ups, the Habs took the Islanders in 5 games to claim the Prince of Wales championship and a trip to the Stanley Cup finals. Sylvain Toupin, one of the team trainers, was presented with this personal Wales trophy to go along with his mini Stanley Cup. Four hockey sticks rise up from the 2-inch wooden base to support a cup with lid. A plaque on one side of the base is engraved NHL Champions Montreal Canadiens 1992-93, while another on the opposite side bears the name of the trophy and Sylvain Toupin. Preserved in excellent-plus condition, the special memento brings back memories of Patrick Roys brilliance.
