On October 15th, 1989, Wayne Gretzky scored his 1851st regular season point in the National Hockey League, surpassing the great Gordie Howe to become the highest scoring player of all time. This collection of mementos from the historic event includes: 1) Near mint game program, signed on the front by Gordie Howe with "1850 points". 2) Newspaper file photo of Gordie congratulating Wayne on the feat, signed by Howe in gold. 3) Edmonton Sun newspaper from the following day, signed on the front by Gordie. 4) Edmonton Sun newspaper inset on "Gretzky's Goal-den Moment". 5) 1851 commemorative puck, signed by Howe. 6) Computer ticket stub from the game, signed in gold by Howe. 7) Limited edition 1851 photo puck, signed by Wayne Gretzky in black marker, in Lucite display case. Overall, in excellent plus condition. Will come with some provenance documents.
