Superb keepsake from a playoff run that saw the Edmonton Oilers get past the second round for the first time commemorates the Oilers first Campbell Conference championship, acquired in the spring of 1983 with playoff wins over the Jets (3-game sweep), Flames (4-1) and Black Hawks (4-game sweep). Edmonton then lost four straight to the Islanders in the Stanley Cup finals, but would be back a year later to claim hockeys ultimate prize. Wayne Gretzky, with 38 points in 16 games, and Mark Messier, with 15 goals in as many games, led the Oilers offensively in the 82-83 playoffs, with Anderson and Kurri contributing 10 and eight goals respectively. Personal miniature Clarence Campbell Bowl here was presented to Oilers director of public relations Bill Tuele and has Bills name, the teams name and the year engraved on one side of the handled cup with removable lid, while the name of the trophy and its 1968 year of inception are engraved on the other. On a 3-inch high, six-sided wooden base, the silver-plated memento rises to 11 and has been preserved in beautiful near mint condition. Recalling the dawning of a dynasty, the momentous piece will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Bill Tuele.
