Frank “Moose” Goheen was a member of the United States hockey team that claimed the silver medal in the game’s first appearance in the Olympics as a demonstration sport in Antwerp in 1920. The legendary amateur star from Minnesota was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1953. Goheen, who died in 1979, signed this original portrait of himself by artist Carleton “Mac” McDiarmid. Painted on 15 ½” x 13” professional illustration board, this remarkable likeness of Goheen is mounted in grey matte and presented in a 20” x 16” silver-colored metal frame.
