Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1966, Ken Reardon has personalized his signature to the artist on this original painting of himself by Carleton “Mac” McDiarmid. Reardon, who died on March 15, 2008, has indicated that he added his autograph in “Montreal, Quebec 8-3-77” and has signed, “To Mac, with best wishes from Kenny Reardon CHC – 1940 – 1964.” This striking portrait of the raven-haired rearguard was painted on 15 ½” x 13” professional illustration board. It is mounted in a grey matte and displayed in a classy 20” x 16” silver colored metal frame. Named to the NHL’s season-end All-Star Teams five times during his brief career, Reardon retired at the age of 29, though he stayed on with the Canadiens as an executive.
