These five individual 14" x 12" player portrait photos of Valeri Bure, Chris Murray, David Wilkie, Murray Baron and Jassen Cullimore were originally displayed at the Molson Centre, which became the Canadiens' new home in 1996 after 72 years at the venerable Montreal Forum. Baron was acquired from St. Louis on October 29, 1996, along with Shayne Corson in the trade that sent captain Pierre Turgeon to the Blues. Later that season, he and Murray were dealt to Phoenix in the trade that brought defenceman Dave Manson to Montreal. Curiously, of the five players pictured here, Baron was the only one who never switched numbers with the Canadiens, sticking with No. 36 throughout his 60-game stint with the Habs. Murray changed from No. 57 to 22, Cullimore went from 35 to 21, Bure from 18 to 20, and Wilkie from 56 to 27 to 3.
