Chosen eighth overall in 1995, Newfoundland native Terry Ryan was Montreal’s highest draft pick between 1984 (Petr Svoboda, 5th overall) and 2001 (Mike Komisarek, 7th overall). It was a case of two out of three ain’t bad with those Habs selections as Ryan appeared in a total of three NHL games over three seasons with the Canadiens between 1996 and 1999. As would be expected, this red No. 14 jersey worn by Ryan during the 1996-97 season exhibits extra light wear. The “CH” crest is entirely red, white and blue tackle twill, as are the white and blue numbers on the sleeves and back, and the individual white letters that spell out Ryan’s surname, sewn onto a red nameplate. A size 56 fly tag in the neck remains intact, as does the laundry instruction tag inside the left seam and the original fight strap. This original jersey comes along with a letter of authenticity from the Montreal Canadiens signed by Rejean Houle.
