Reunited with Mark Messier and helping to lead the New York Rangers to the Conference Finals, Wayne Gretzky would score a team-leading 20 postseason points in just 15 games in 1996-97, his first season in Manhattan with the Blueshirts. This signed stick was used by the iconic superstar during his inaugural campaign with the New York Rangers, in 1996-97. An Easton Silver Tip model with Gretzky factory graphics, “Gretzky” has been stamped onto the inserted wood blade, with Wayne’s familiar “Jack the Gripper” over the handle. The stick retain’s the original black tape on the blade, with Wayne signing across the taped section in silver, with the thick and bold signature gorgeous. The highly desirable stick shows nice use, with wear to the underside of the blade along with a few abrasions to the shaft. There is also a 3” crack to the shaft where the blade is inserted.
