Two MVP awards were up for grabs with the Vancouver Canucks in 1989-90 and goalie Kirk McLean claimed them both! McLean won 21 games and posted a 3.47 GAA average in his third season with the Canucks. Offered here from McLean’s personal collection are his Cyclone Taylor Award as the fans’ MVP as well as the CP Air President’s Award as the Canucks’ 1989-90 MVP. The Cyclone Taylor Award stands just over 8” tall with a silver-coloured bowl atop a wooden base. The CP Air President’s Award is a 9x12 wood plaque. Both have Canucks logo and 20th anniversary pins attached to them. Comes with Kirk McLean’s signed LOA.
Kirk McLean’s name and the 1989-90 season are engraved on the plaques affixed to both awards.
The bowl of the Cyclone Taylor Award is dented downwards on one side at the bottom and its screw underneath has become detached from the wood base.
