Spectacular Calder Trophy piece is this framed silver-plated handled tray presented to the late Lorne "Gump" Worsley by the NHL as the league's rookie of the year in 1952-53. Originally obtained from the Worsley family, the 15x20 commemorative platter was presented to the legendary goalie when he managed to post a 3.06 GAA and two shutouts in the first season of his HOF career while playing for a New York Rangers team that won just 17 of 70 games! "Souvenir of the Calder Memorial Trophy awarded to the player adjudged to be most proficient in his first year of competition in the National Hockey League, won by Lorne Worsley, New York Rangers Hockey Club, Season 1952-1953" is engraved on the front of the two-handled serving tray displayed recessed under glass in a substantial 24" x 29" frame. Comes with an LOA.
