Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Wonderful matching set of three black leather-bound volumes of the Trail of the Stanley Cup was presented to deceased HOFer Emile "Butch" Bouchard. Only 1,000 copies of the first two volumes were presented to important hockey figures beginning with Volume 1 in 1968. "Presented to Emile Bouchard with compliments of the National Hockey League" reads the bookplate that was originally pasted inside the cover of Vol. 1 has come unglued and is now loose. There were 1,500 examples of Volume 3 produced for the NHL's 60th anniversary in 1977, this one with the original NHL card still enclosed. All three volumes are numbered "155" with the last digit of Vol. 3 handwritten over what looks like it was originally a "6". These highly sought-after books are in their original black slipcases, all very nicely preserved. Comes with Butch Bouchard's signed LOA.
