Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
The late Emile "Butch" Bouchard capped his Hall of Fame career with his fourth and final Stanley Cup in the spring of 1956, his second as captain of the Montreal Canadiens. Players and executives received this tea service to commemorate the 1955-56 team's Stanley Cup win, the first title of what would prove to be a record run of five straight Cups for the Habs. Presented to Butch, this three-piece set features a lovely teapot which is engraved "National Hockey League – League Champions and Stanley Cup Winners – 1955-56 – Club De Hockey Canadien Inc. – Emile "Butch" Bouchard - Captain". A dent on the rim at the cover hinge does not diminish its display. The teapot, creamer and sugar bowl are all stamped "Victorian Plate 370", for the pattern/model, "E.P. Copper", for electro-plated on copper, and "B.M. Mounts". Comes with Butch Bouchard's signed LOA.
