Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Scarce and very special vintage Montreal Canadiens celluloid team photo pictures the 1945-46 Stanley Cup champions. A Rice Studio treasure that was only given to players and staff, this one was presented to deceased HOFer Emile "Butch" Bouchard, "With the Compliments of Macdonald Tobacco Company", as per the card that remains pasted onto the back. The Habs' powerhouse lineup of Maurice "Rocket" Richard and Punch Line mates Lach and Blake is pictured in color poses along with the likes of Durnan, Reardon and Butch himself. Gorman and Irvin are featured in the insets with the game results of the Habs' playoff wins over Chicago and Boston on either side. Measuring 8 1/4" by 12 1/2", this superb Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup champions team photo remains in splendid condition. Comes with Butch Bouchard's signed LOA.
