The first European-trained starting goaltender to win the Stanley Cup, Domink Hasek would actually lift Lord Stanley’s priceless hardware twice while with the Detroit Red Wings. The Czech superstar would also earn six Vezina trophies throughout his HOF career, along with back-to-back Hart Memorials as the NHL’s MVP, in 1997 and 1998. This photo-matched trapper was used by the six-time All-Star in 2003-04. A TPS Icecap model in Motown colours, “Hasek” appears embroidered over the side wrist guard, with all of the lacing and strapping intact. The glove shows heavy use, with numerous puck marks visible throughout the pocket, with some surface wear to the leather in spots. Worn by a two-time Stanley Cup-winning Hall of Famer, this well-used glove is ideal for display.
Getty Image #2867845 (Dec 4, 2003 vs St Louis) Has been matched to the distinct long black marks that run across the embroidered “Hasek” over the side of the wrist guard, and to marks and particularities within the “TPS” logo over the wrist guard. Getty Image #53118958 (Dec 6, 2003 vs Toronto) has been matched to the distinct long black marks that run across the embroidered “Hasek” over the side of the wrist guard, to the streak visible through the bottom of the “P” of “TPS”, to the dark mark along the top of the “P”, and to the two distinct dark marks and their specific shape and placement over the white section along the face of the wrist guard.
