Invoices will be sent by email to the winning bidders. Those who have not received their invoice within 5 days of the auction should contact us. Payment is due within 14 days after notification. Failure to pay invoices promptly will result in the suspension of your auction privileges. Methods of payment accepted are certified checks, money orders, cash and bank drafts. Personal checks are NOT accepted. A new rule applies to credit card payments. From now on, payment by credit card can be made for returning customers, in other words, you will be allowed to pay your invoice with your credit card if and only if you have already purchased something from us in the past and paid with another method of payment. New customers can still pay their account with our regular methods of payment for the initial invoice and will be eligible to use their credit card in future auctions. All you need to do is to select the type of payments you wish to pay with under "my invoice" tab after you have received your invoice by email. Please note that from now on credit card payments can be made either in US or Canadian dollars depending on where it was issued. As for payments in Canadian dollars, Classic Collectibles will be using the exchange rate at the time the auction closes.
Auction closing:Please note that our current auction will close at 9:00 p.m. EDT on March 16th, 2010. (Daylight savings time takes effect throughout Canada's Eastern Time Zone on Sunday, March 14, two days prior to our auction closing, and our catalogue erroneously referred to the closing time as 9:00 p.m EST.)
The final day of bidding for this entire auction is Tuesday, March 16th, 2010.
The auction will close at 9:00 PM (Eastern Daylight Time) on March 16th, 2010. After 9:00 PM, the auction will continue until the bids stop coming in or the phone stops ringing for 10 minutes. This rule applies to the entire auction and to all the lots. In other words, all lots will remain opened for as long as a bid has been placed on any item and all the lots will close at the same time. Furthermore, there will no longer be a time limit for the auction to close. Only the application of the 10 minute rule will determine the time of closing.
Please note that rules have also changed concerning bidding after 9:00 PM. As a matter of fact two different rules will apply. The first one concerns bidding after 9:00 PM and the second one concerns bidding after 1:00 AM. In order to place a bid after 9:00 PM on closing night (March 16th, 2010), you must ABSOLUTELY have recorded at least one bid before 9:00 PM. In other words, placing a bid on any one lot before 9:00 PM will allow you to bid on any other lot during the extended bidding period (after 9:00 PM). Furthermore from now on in order to place a bid after 1:00 AM on March 17th, 2010, you must ABSOLUTELY have recorded at least one bid before 1:00 AM on that particular lot. In other words, you will not be able to bid on any lot you have not already bid on.
