Item description
Terrific and seldom offered souvenir from the epic Canada-Russia battle of 1972, this high quality Omega Speedmaster Professional model watch is still in working order and is one of only a few dozen produced for the Canadian contingent. Alan Eagleson reveals that 50 were made for players, management and Team Canada officials while a slightly smaller number were produced and given to the Soviet Union’s squad. “Team Canada” is engraved on the back above a circular “Speedmaster” logo, with “1972” and “Alan Eagleson” inscribed below. The watch, the same type as Omega’s famous “first man on the moon” watch, exhibits light wear but without any scratching whatsoever to the glass. We believe it’s “time” for you to consider treating yourself to a very special memento from a very special international hockey event. Mr. Eaglesons’ signed letter of authenticity will be included with this killer keepsake.
