Impressive and scary! “Skull” mask was donned by Gary Bromley, an Edmonton native who made a great first impression with the Sabres in ’74-75, winning 26 games as a rookie, before a couple of WHA seasons and then a return to the NHL. Gary wound up his big league career with three years in Vancouver, suiting up for the Canucks from ’78 to ’81. Letters made out of small bones spell out Bromley’s “Bones” nickname on the back plate here. All original interior padding and straps are still present and the mask shows nice game use with light scratches and scrapes in the paint. Another one of those unique jobs which deserves a special home!
