Item description
Thought-provoking indeed is this ancient stick from the days when hockey was still often referred to as "bandy". Dating from circa 1880, the one piece (no kidding!) twig (we couldn't help ourselves!) measures approximately one inch thick and would have been used by a right handedshot since one side of the crude "blade" has been whittled flat. Stick shows use too with the bottom of the "heel" area worn down. Stick when measured top to tip is 39 inches and in solid condition. Holding this museum-worthy piece gives great insight into how the game was once played. Amazing!
