Wayne Gretzky's four goals against the visiting Winnipeg Jets gave the team a great start to the 1982-83 post-season. The match, held on April 6th, 1983 was the first of a three game sweep over the Jets. The official Edmonton Oilers game puck that careened off the end of Wayne's stick for his fourth goal of the night has been wrapped with a strip of aged cloth tape and marked "4th goal, Gretzky, Ed 6, Wpg 1" in ballpoint with some additional notations. From the archives of the Edmonton Oilers with a team letter of provenance signed by General Manager Kevin Lowe.
