Wayne Gretzky's scoring streak continued as the Oilers took on the LA Kings in Edmonton on Dec. 5th, 1982. Wayne and Mark Messier assisted on a Glenn Anderson goal to make it 29 straight games with at least one point for The Great One, setting a new NHL record. The official Oilers game puck from the milestone has been wrapped with a strip of aged cloth tape and marked "Record Pt. assist, 29th consecutive pt., Gretzky, Messier on Anderson goal to make it 1-0". From the archives of the Edmonton Oilers with a team letter of provenance signed by General Manager Kevin Lowe.
