When Gretzky passed off to linemate Jari Kurri for a goal on December 4th, 1982, he matched a league record set by Guy Lafleur for consecutive games with at least one point scored. This assist gave Wayne 28 straight games where he made the score sheet. The official Oilers game puck from the milestone has been wrapped with a strip of aged cloth tape and marked "Wayne's record assist on Kurri goal, 28 consecutive pt, ties Lafleur's record". From the archives of the Edmonton Oilers with a team letter of provenance signed by General Manager Kevin Lowe.
