Some of the biggest names in hockey took part in an All-Star game last December to celebrate Igor Larionov's retirement from professional hockey after an incredible 27 seasons. The game was played December 13th at the Luzhniki Arena in Moscow and featured many of Larionov's former Detroit Red Wing teammates playing for "Team World", against a team of well-known Russian NHLers, the latter who came out on top of an entertaining 6-5 game. Due to the NHL lockout, Martin Brodeur was able to play in the game. Three sets of jerseys were produced, with the players wearing a different set for each period. The money raised by the sale of these jerseys will go to The Larionov Youth Hockey Charitable Foundation which Igor established to raise and disburse funds to support and develop amateur hockey players, both in North America and Russia. Many of the young athletes who will benefit from the foundation would not otherwise have the financial resources to participate in and play hockey. This huge Martin Brodeur white knit jersey has a Russian manufacturer's tag in the inner hem that indicates size 60. "WORLD" in individual letters is sewn on diagonally on the front along with a neat embroidered farewell game patch. Martin's number "30", the "0" of which he autographed with black sharpie, is also a tackle twill-like material and sewn-on. Everything else, except for the "EFSI" patch on the back above "Brodeur", is sublimated. A label sewn in the inner front hem includes the Larionov farewell game logo and reads "Set 2". Terrific goaltender's jersey was donned by a future Hall-of-Famer and will come with a letter of authenticity signed by another, Igor Larionov. *startred* This jersey is from the second set used in the game and was worn by Martin Brodeur while he sat on the bench during the second period, Brodeur played the First period and Chris Osgood was the goaltender first the second period. *endred*
