Splendid pair of money clips is highlighted by the one commemorating the Montreal Canadiens' 1956-57 Stanley Cup championship. It features the Canadiens logo and is engraved "Coupe Stanley Cup Champions 1956-57". Also included are Jean Beliveau's scripted "J B" initials, as well as "Molson's". The Habs made it two straight Cups in the spring of ‘57, first taking out the Rangers in 5 games and then doing the same to the Bruins, who had knocked off regular season champion Detroit in the semi-finals. Rocket Richard scored 4 goals in the first game of the finals and Beliveau contributed 6 goals and 6 assists over the course of the playoffs. The big center had finished third in league scoring behind Howe and Lindsay and was named to the NHL's 1st All-Star Team. Also included in this lot is a combination money clip/pen knife/nail file which features crossed hockey sticks and the Canadiens logo. Both pieces show some use but remain in excellent condition. Obtained directly from Jean Beliveau, the neat little treasures will be accompanied by his signed letter of authenticity.
