The jubilation of a third straight Stanley Cup Championship is represented in this stunning 14-karat gold and diamond ring that comes in at a whopping 40 grams. Celebrating the 1977-78 Montreal Canadiens' Cup win, this substantial bauble originally presented to public relations director Claude Mouton comes with its original presentation box featuring a wood case. The ring displays a dazzling tableau with a 75-point solitaire in the middle encircled by 24 smaller diamonds floating in a sea of white gold, surrounded by "N.H.L. Champions 1978" around the bezel. "Coupe Stanley Cup" banner on the left shank with Club de Hockey Canadien at the bottom and each of the team's 21 Cup championship years surrounds a likeness of Lord Stanley's chalice. "Mouton" is spelled out above the the CH logo on the right shank with "Champions Est-East 59-10-11" below it reflecting Montreal's incredible regular season mark. "Jostens 14K" is stamped inside the size 10 3/4 band which displays Mouton's engraved facsimile signature. Sharp details remain on this beautifully-preserved gem which displays light scratches and scuffs, mostly on the back of the band. Please take note that this item may be subject to a silent reserve. Comes with an LOA from Claude Mouton's son.
