Now that you've learned The History of Trading Cards and the relation between graded cards and investment, it is now time to unveil the details surrounding the most important PSA-graded pre-war hockey card collection ever offered!

The first part of the collection is featured in our Fall 2013 Auction, now online, and divided into 4 parts. (see below for the list of cards auctioned this fall)

PART 1   ~   PART 2   ~   PART 3  ~  PART 4

We had the opportunity to visit Mr. Simon Bourque (simgin) at his home in Quebec City where he kindly (and passionately!) answered our questions on his incomparable collection and the story behind it.

If you're familiar with the PSA Set Registry, you probably already know how amazing the collection will be.  Simgin, Simon Bourque's alias on the registry and on Ebay, is currently the PSA Registry leader on almost every pre-war hockey card sets. For those of you who are not familiar with the registry, this means in other words that Mr. Bourque's hockey card collection from 1910 to 1940 is currently composed of some of the highest quality cards on the market.

Mr. Bourque also received numerous awards from the most respected third-party authentication company (PSA) as a recognition for the tremendous level of quality that he was able to achieve.

Amassed over a period of 20 years by a passionate collector that traveled all across Canada, this collection is a one time opportunity for collectors.  An opportunity to become the #1 pre-war hockey card collector overnight!

From the 1910-11 two Lacrosse sets, Sweet Caporal Postcard set and C56 set to the 1940-41 O-Pee-Chee V301-2 set, almost everything is there. (see below for the list of cards auctioned this fall)

  • Approximately 95% of the card sets are #1 on the PSA Registry
  • There is more than 400 highest graded cards
  • And more than 600 cards are ''1 of 1'', meaning no other PSA graded cards exist in better or equal quality!
What else can we add?

The holy grail of hockey cards, the Bert Corbeau V-145-1, is there.  A card so scarce that most collectors will see their set as complete even without the famous #25...

Watch the following video to learn the story behind the collection and learn more about the collector himself; Mr. Simon Bourque. A true gentleman and a pure collector. Watch it through to the end to hear Simon's special thank you note to collectors...
