Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
The two players arguably most responsible for the constant success of the Detroit Red Wings throughout the 1990s and early-2000s, Steve Yzerman and Sergei Fedorov both had lengthy careers in the Motor City, with back-to-back Stanley Cups won by the pair in 1997 and 1998. We have a pair of sticks from the HOF duo, with each example signed. Victoriaville (Yzerman) and Innovative (Fedorov) models, each feature’s the users name over the upper shaft, with each having the original tape in place over the handle and blade. Yzerman has added a large and flowing black marker signature over the front side heel, while Fedorov has signed across his black blade in silver, with both signatures displaying beautifully.
The Yzerman stick originates from the mid-1990s, and it exhibits moderate use, with wear to the blade and lower shaft, especially along edges. The Fedorov stick hails from circa 2002-04, and it shows light use, with a small chip along the top edge of the blade at the heel section.
