Montreal Canadiens defenseman Patrice Brisebois wore this retro jersey during the first two periods of the first outdoor game in NHL history. Brisebois assisted on the first two goals of the game in the Habs’ 4-3 win in the Heritage Classic Game at Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium on Nov. 22, 2003. Size 58 flag sits in the back of the tie-neck collar of this retro beauty with the NHL Vintage Hockey patch on the right breast, which Brisebois and the Canadiens also wore four days earlier in Vancouver. Inventory No. “B10500” handwritten in blue marker on the fight strap appears on the MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2003-2004 Season patch sewn inside the rear tail, and on the accompanying LOA.
Game wear shows in board burns and burn holes on the right shoulder and upper right sleeve, black marks on the front and on the back of the right shoulder yoke, and blue paint transfer on the white stripe on the right rear tail. CCM patch is sewn on the right rear tail with the embroidered NHL patch to its right.
