Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015

Goaltender Denis Herron would man the pipes with 3 different NHL teams during his career – the Pittsburgh Penguins, Kansas City Scouts, and Montreal Canadiens, and it was during his stint with the Habs in the early-1980s that he stopped pucks with the help of this “Vic” gamer offered here. In great shape with original white knob tape but with the blade tape removed, this game-used goaltender’s stick has “Herron” stamped on the upper shaft, a series of pucks marks are scattered about, and even though areas of the 2 accent stripes are no longer, the stick remains in excellent condition and is a great memento from a backstopper who shared the Vezina Trophy with teammates Michel Larocque and Richard Sevigny in 1981, and the William M. Jennnings Trophy with Rick Wamsley in 1982. Comes with an LOA from Classic Auctions.
