Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Offered is the earliest Alex Galchenyuk NHL goal puck available, the third he scored as a Montreal Canadiens rookie in 2012-13. Chucky kept his first two goal pucks, one on the road as well as his first at Bell Centre, so goal puck No. 3 is especially desirable. Galchenyuk scored the second goal of the Habs’ 3-0 win against the Rangers at home on February 23, 2013, beating veteran goalie Martin Biron on a setup from Lars Eller at 13:36 of the second period. Game use includes some of the silver paint worn off on the face of the Canadiens NHL official game puck, as well as a bit on the reverse. Wrap of white hockey tape around the edge has, “N.Y. Ran. Can 02.25.13 #27 3 Can 1336 2nd” handwritten in blue marker for details of the goal. A CH hologram sticker affixed to the tape has a registry number that corresponds to the one on the Canadiens COA that comes along with this historic Galchenyuk earliest available rookie season goal puck.
