Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
An exciting and important cog in the Ottawa Senators’ scheme, Kyle Turris pulled-on this road white Coyotes jersey during his first full NHL campaign, suiting up for 63 games with Phoenix in 2008-09. A tag sewn in the inner rear hem, directly below the fight strap, reads ““Official 2008/09 – 2 Game Worn Jersey” and the uniform shows interesting game use. A significant burn in the right shoulder region resulted in a two-inch hole, while a two-inch stick mark in the tackle twill brick-red section of the big Coyotes crest on the front also stands out. A few marks on each lower sleeve and a quarter-inch slice in the left, along with a few marks/snags on the belly, are also signs of use from Kyle’s rookie season. Size 56 Reebok jersey will be accompanied by a Coyotes LOA signed by GM Don Maloney and will make for a splendid addition to a Turris/Coyotes/game worn jersey collection.
