Now a bona fide, proven and appreciated NHL defenceman, Keith Yandle wore this Coyotes jersey in the fall of 2006 when he was trying to “stick” with Phoenix, the team that had drafted him in the fourth round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. The Boston native got into seven big-league games in October of 2006, appearing first in four road games and then donning this uniform for home games played October 19th and 21st before later being sent to the minors for seasoning. Our consignor informs that the only Yandle jerseys in existence from 2006-07 are the home and away “Set 1” jobs, with a tag sewn in the inner rear hem reading “Official 2006/07 – 1 Game Worn Jersey.” Featuring a Decade in the Desert patch, “Yandle” sewn directly on the back (no nameplate) and a size 54 tag with the Canadian flag in the neck, the jersey exhibits expected light use, with however a three-inch burn in the left shoulder region, a small one near the “3” on the right sleeve and light pilling around the inner neckline. Appealing tie-neck style Reebok jersey will be accompanied by an LOA from the Coyotes which reads in part “#3 Keith Yandle Set #1 Game Worn Red Jersey.”
