Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
The distinctive “O” white and black double felt crest sewn on the front of this classic wool game-worn jersey and the red, white and black barber-pole pattern screams Ottawa Senators. This early-1950s Senators game-worn wool jersey was originally obtained from the collection of Sandy Watson, who was the manager of the 1948 RCAF hockey team that won the Olympic gold medal representing Canada. Number 17 in white and black double felt is sewn on the back of this tie-neck wool gamer with red and blue paint transfer on the rear tail amid various reddish brown stains. Team repairs include five on the right sleeve, three on the left, three on the front and one on the left rear tail.
