Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
With Stan Mikita’s surname stamped low on both sides of the shaft, its pretty clear that this Louisville Slugger game-used stick was wielded by the Chicago Black Hawks’ Hall of Fame center. A member of the NHL’s elite 500-goal club and Team Canada 1972, Stan has his number “21” written in red marker on the shaft below his well-worn tape job on the knob that features a gauze tape outer wrap. The cracked blade also retains Mikita’s white tape job towards the toe and game use shows in red and green paint transfer and black marks on the heel and shaft.
