Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Chicago Black Hawks defenseman Doug Jarrett’s game-worn #4 jersey dates from the 1972-73 season as evidenced by the distinctive combination of the single-color black twill numbers on the back and both sleeves and the crossover black and red collar. The outlines of two two former tags remain in the collar. There is evidence of a former alternate captain's "A" on the left breast, as well as evidence of outlines of square patches on the shoulders, so this game-worn jersey was most likely recycled to a Chicago farm team after Jarrett wore it. There are 10 team repairs and more game wear shows in board burns and red paint transfer on the sleeves. A classic Hawks gamer worn by a pillar of Chicago’s defense.
There is some fading to the black twill numbers and particularly the black twill on the shoulder patches, and the tan twill on the team crest has some fraying.
