Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
The Peterborough Petes have produced a number of HOFers during their existence including Steve Yzerman, Bob Gainey, and Larry Murphy. They can also claim the title of being the oldest continuously operating team in the Ontario Hockey League. This game-worn Peterborough Petes alternate captains jersey can be dated to circa 1974 to 1977 by the particular style Wilson tag located on the collar. Great game use is obvious on this garment with a number of rubs and abrasions including areas of blue and red paint transfer. Fabric loss has occurred to the top of the right shoulder, and an approx. 3 inch hole, a re-opened team repair, is located on the middle section of the right sleeve. A few other noticeable team repairs are on the left sleeve. In very good displayable condition overall, this jersey's importance to OHL hockey can't be overstated.
