Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
D-man Gord Murphy donned this Team Canada jersey in pre-tournament games leading up to the 1998 World Championships in Switzerland. Tagged in the collar as a "Bauer Pro" with a size "58" flap along side, this gamer has the embroidered tackle twill Hockey Canada emblem sitting square on the chest with a flowing sublimated design at the waist, along with the double tackle-twill number "5" on the back and sleeves and an airknit nameplate holding the screened-on "Murphy" lettering, which has slight color bleeding. Game wear is light with faint marks on the left sleeve, some board burns/material snags on the right, and a small snag on the right breast, while the team crest and back number shows puckering. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
Murphy contributed 1 goal in 6 games at the 1998 Worlds.
