Swedish goalie Johan Hedberg’s 2000-01 Penguins game-worn rookie season third jersey is photo-matched to Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final. Hedberg’s gamer is from the season that saw Penguins owner Mario Lemieux come out of retirement to help lead his team on a deep run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It is photo-matched to a May 22, 2001 photo from Pittsburgh’s 4-2 loss at New Jersey by the small black mark at the top right of the team crest on the front and to a few marks on the elbow of the right sleeve. More game wear shows in red paint transfer on the back of the right sleeve and marks on the left sleeve. Comes with a Penguins LOA a MeiGray COR, and an 8x10 photo signed by Hedberg.
Size 58 flag tag sits in the back of the neck along with a goalie style flag tag that is sewn over by nameplate stitching with Hedberg’s No. “1” handwritten in black marker to the right of a black marker blotch.
