Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Splendid autographed cards featuring the Canadian men who helped write hockey history in 1972 have always been coveted by collectors and were part of a 1992 release by "Future Trends" commemorating the Summit Series' 20th anniversary. The 35 members of Team Canada, as well as Russian great Vladislav Tretiak, each signed a limited number of their cards, inserted into packs at a rate of only one or two per case. Specially coated with a swirl pattern over the gold ink signatures, this set is in a suave album presented to Jean Ratelle, with his name appearing in gold lettering on the album's cover. A "regular" 101-card set is also present, along with framed cards of Jean and Team Canada, with his example being signed.
The cards all appear to be in gorgeous condition including the framed pair, with just minor wear to the presentation album to mention, with a few scratches to the cover present.
