Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Left winger Christian Thomas wore this set 1 Montreal Canadiens jersey in pre-season games. The Canadiens added the Jean Beliveau Memorial patch on the jersey in case Thomas would dress for a game which he didn't when the Habs wore these set 1 jerseys as he played the 1st of his 18 games on January 10th 2015. The Reebok jersey is tagged in the collar in size 56 and has a handwritten "1" for set 1. The team patch is located on the lower inner hem of the jersey which shows lighter, but noticeable wear, including a small unrepaired hole on the left sleeve and a few small marks on the sleeves. Comes with a Montreal Canadiens LOA and a Classic Auctions LOA.
The Montreal Canadiens first wore the Beliveau Memorial patch in their December 5th 2014 game vs Chicago. On these set “1” jerseys, the Beliveau Memorial patch was worn in their December 5th and 6th games vs Chicago and Dallas, the first two games the Canadiens wore the patch honoring the late Jean Beliveau. The set “1” jerseys were worn starting on October 8th and up to and including December 6th. They were also worn in a few preseason games.
