Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015

Jean Beliveau played an amazing ten Stanley Cup Championship seasons on his way into the Hockey Hall of Fame. During the early to mid-1960s he waved wands including this CCM Custom Pro as he captained his club through powerhouse years. With Le Gros Bill's classic white over black tape covering the knob and original heavily-oiled black tape on the blade (a few strips missing towards the front), the stick features "Beliveau 4" stamped high on the shaft along with "McNiece's", the iconic sporting goods store and team supplier located at the Montreal Forum. The heel of the blade shows some wear with chipping of the wood but we do not spot any of the expected age cracking at the toe. The ancient twig shows fair game use with numerous puck marks but remains sturdy and solid. An awesome, game-used example from the legendary captain.
