Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
The honors kept coming for Luc late in his HOF career. Originally obtained from Luc Robitaille's personal collection are two plaques presented to him by the Kings late in the 2003-04 season, including one for his 1,000th regular season game with the team on March 13, 2004 in San Jose. Also included is a similar beveled glass and mirror plaque presented to Luc to commemorate his 1,370th career point, which broke John Bucyk's record for points by a left wing. Luc's signed carbon copy of the scoresheet from that game is included. Lot comes with Luc Robitaille’s signed LOA.
Manufactured by Awards 2000, both 15” x 12” plaques have black leather-type backing and remain in like-new condition, with a tiny chip to the top right corner of the 1000th game plaque to be noted, and each comes in its original box. Luc got his record-breaking 1,370th point on March 22, 2004 with an assist on Jozef Stumpel’s goal in a 2-1 loss to Edmonton at the Staples Center. He has signed in black marker on a carbon copy of the NHL scoresheet which is included along with a carbon copy of the official penalty record from the same game, as well as another scoresheet with the same details signed by official scorer Gary Evans.
